About us and Contact

Orthodox spirituality plays a crucial role in the development of children, as it lays the groundwork for their understanding of purpose and union with God and their neighbour. The integration of spiritual lessons into children's lives can significantly enhance their understanding of Christian values and principles.

Orthodox Children's World and its publishing house, St. John of San Francisco Children's Books, are dedicated to conveying essential spiritual lessons that are accessible to children and their parents. These lessons are designed to be easily understood and applicable at various developmental stages, ensuring that children can grasp the core structure of the faith. Research indicates that early exposure to religious teachings can lead to the greatest rates of children remaining believers as they reach adulthood.

The materials provided, including books and engaging activities, serve as tools for exploration and learning. These resources not only introduce children to the rich traditions of Orthodox Christianity but also encourage critical thinking and personal reflection.

We look forward to growing Orthodox Children's World to be THE place parent's can find material for Orthodox kids.

A. Christian has been working with children and teens at her parish for nearly a decade as Youth Director with a degree in Applied Orthodox Studies and a Master's in Pastoral Care and Counseling from the Antiochian House of Studies. She has run multiple book clubs with parish youth and reading circles with parish children and noticed that most books were advanced in vocabulary and left a gap in teaching simple lessons in Orthodox Spirituality.
